Yardi opens new training and simulator hub in Osborne Park

majority aboriginal owned joint venture

Yardi Mining Services has opened an expanded training and development centre in Osborne Park, bringing simulator-based training, high-risk work assessments and onboarding under one roof. The upgraded facility is a key part of our commitment to building long-term, RRK-led capability across the mining industry.

Building skills before site

The centre combines modern classrooms, simulation suites and hands-on training areas. Trainees can now build real operating skills in a risk-free environment — with immediate feedback, measurable performance data and no damage risk to site equipment — before they ever step onto a live operation.

Simulators available at the hub cover the full spread of heavy equipment our people operate, including mechanical and electric haul trucks, wheeled loaders, excavators, graders, tracked dozers and drills. The facility also delivers nationally recognised courses and Verification of Competency assessments for high-risk tasks.

Real pathways into employment

The hub anchors our Employment Pathway Program, powered by the RRK Employment Hub, which connects Robe River Kuruma community members with tailored routes into jobs, apprenticeships and enterprise support. Traineeships and apprenticeships span mining operations, civil works and mechanical trades, with cultural mentors working alongside technical supervisors throughout.

“Investing in our own people is at the heart of what Yardi is here to do,” a Yardi Mining Services spokesperson said. “This facility means RRK community members can build genuine, industry-recognised skills close to home, and step into long-term careers with confidence.”

A new standard for Indigenous-led mining

As a majority Aboriginal-owned joint venture between Robe River Services and CSI Mining Services, Yardi is setting a new benchmark for how Indigenous communities and industry work together — one grounded in cultural authority, operational excellence and lasting community outcomes.
